SV Bhavana: Connecting Website, Online Ordering & POS for a Growing Cranbourne Restaurant
20% increase in sales since launching the connected website, online ordering, and table booking system.
About SV Bhavana
SV Bhavana is a pure vegetarian and vegan South Indian restaurant in Cranbourne, Victoria, serving dosas, idlis, curries, biryanis, and traditional South Indian sweets across dine-in, takeaway, and catering. Like many independent restaurants, SV Bhavana needed more than a POS terminal at the counter — it needed a connected system that could turn local search visibility into actual covers and orders, without adding extra manual work for the kitchen or front-of-house team.
The Challenge
Before this project, SV Bhavana faced a common set of hospitality pain points:
- Limited online visibility — the restaurant had no website built to rank for local, high-intent searches like “vegetarian Indian restaurant Cranbourne,” leaving potential customers to find competitors first.
- Disconnected ordering and booking channels — without integrated online ordering or table booking, customers had to call in, and staff had to manually relay orders and reservations to the kitchen and floor.
- Manual order handling risk — phone-in and walk-up-only ordering increases the chance of mistakes during busy dinner service, and gives no digital record for the kitchen.
- No unified checkout hardware — the restaurant needed a POS terminal that could handle dine-in, takeaway, and catering transactions with a customer-facing display for transparency at the counter.
The Solution
We paired a purpose-built website with SV Bhavana’s POSApt restaurant POS system, so that the front-end (search visibility, ordering, bookings) and back-end (kitchen, counter, floor) work as one connected system rather than separate tools.
1. SEO-optimised website We designed and built svbhavana.com.au around local search intent — targeting Cranbourne-area customers searching for vegetarian and vegan Indian food. The site is already ranking in the local area, which is driving incremental online orders and table bookings that the restaurant wasn’t capturing before.
2. Direct online ordering integration The website is connected directly to SV Bhavana’s POSApt online ordering platform (orderonline.posapt.au). Customers can order dine-in, takeaway, or catering straight from the website — no third-party marketplace, no manual relay. Every order placed online prints directly in the kitchen through the POSApt system, cutting out the manual step of a staff member re-entering a phoned-in order and reducing the chance of errors during peak service.
3. Table booking widget A booking widget on the website connects to POSApt’s booking platform (bookonline.posapt.au), letting customers reserve a table (or request a catering package — Basic, Premium, South Indian, or Deluxe plans) directly online. Bookings are pushed straight to the POS system, so front-of-house staff are notified automatically instead of relying on a phone log or paper diary.
4. POSApt dual-screen POS terminal with card reader At the counter, SV Bhavana runs a POSApt dual-screen terminal — a customer-facing display alongside the operator screen — paired with an integrated card reader for fast, transparent checkout across dine-in, takeaway, and catering transactions.

Impact for SV Bhavana
- 20% increase in sales since launching the connected website, online ordering, and table booking system — the clearest sign that turning local search visibility into direct orders and bookings is driving real revenue, not just traffic.
- More discoverability — the website is already ranking in SV Bhavana’s local area, putting the restaurant in front of nearby customers actively searching for vegetarian/vegan Indian food.
- More online orders and bookings — SEO visibility is translating into incremental online orders and table reservations, on top of walk-in and phone business.
- Faster, more accurate kitchen operations — online orders route straight to the kitchen printer, removing the manual step (and error risk) of staff re-keying phone orders.
- Smoother front-of-house coordination — table bookings arrive as POS notifications rather than depending on someone checking a phone or diary, reducing missed or double-booked tables.
- A consistent counter experience — the dual-screen terminal with card reader gives customers a clear, transparent checkout for dine-in, takeaway, and catering orders alike.
